Have a portco that got started in 2019. In the past 12 months they have gone from zero to $10M ARR and plan to double or triple by EOY. Gross margins have gone from 35% to 60%+. Not every business is an overnight success story. Stay the course.
The past 2.5 years have been a dog fight building this firm with a tiny track record. Almost entirely a sale of myself. Heading into this year, we can finally point to strong results across both funds. The plan is working. This tiny and mighty firm wont be tiny for long.
Led my first investment ever back in Nov 22. At the time, the idea wasn't obvious and the team was unproven. Was the only VC to commit. Went to market to raise a seed last week. Received multiple term sheets and signed with a lead today. The team did everything they said they would back when we invested. Still early but very damn proud. If you're in the "no one believes in this" period of your company, keep going.
